I hate the smell of streets right after rain. By then they are so empty I can feel their pain. Lost in this meditation I’m losing my ground. Don’t worry about me I’ll fix it somehow. It’s hard to see the light at the end of the horizon, Until someone turns it on. (Please turn it on). It’s hard to read those words written on the sidewalk, Until someone writes them down. (Please write them down). Do you see that face behind the broken window? That’s my inner guard who never lets me go. Sometimes I just need to be alone and walk. Listening to my thoughts I don’t wanna talk. Happiness is real, Only when it’s shared, With people important to me, So I don’t wanna die alone.

Your life’s like a slow boat floating on a lazy river. Your life’s like a plastic bag being pushed around by wind. Your life will never be a ride with an unknown destination. You know your apathy, you shall hold hands forever. You are standing on a balcony, While others are making history. You don’t care about politics, You call yourself a nihilist. Just a passive passenger, With no lust to steer. Just a passive passenger, Always riding in the back seat. You enjoy watching TV news from the warmth of your bed. You think you’re useful changing a light bulb when it’s bad. But you’re only playing games with harmless foes. It’s written in your eyes, you are just a lazy hoe. Your life won’t drag you to hidden valleys and skyscraping summits. You know it very well but you won’t change anything.

I’m sitting on the sidewalk which I call my home. People are flashing by followed by their shadows. They presume I deserve this fall to the ground. I’m used to it and my own apathy was already found. Troubles I have, troubles I’ve seen, It all affects my life equally. No matter where, no matter how, I have to cover my bare skin. The battle is not yet over, The game is still being played. When the night falls down thoughts begin to speak. I feel an overwhelming desire to fight in my fists. The rule number one is to never look back. So I keep on moving and making new tracks. I’m the native of the street, The unnamed ghostly breed, Survival is the only creed, Until the day I’m freed.

Follow their steps and you will see the sunrise. Follow their rules and you will reach the kingdom. But they will never tell you: Use your own mind. And so I ask: Is this the only way that leads to faith? Born into this sinful place, Governed by the human race, Where the desire of a man is to be followed. Like sheep on grass fields, You obey what claim your priests, But many questions have more than one answer. Rational knowledge feeds the devil in you. The original sin sticks to you like a glue. So you better confess your deeds to avoid hell. Your fear’s the strongest gun in their hands. Eat their stories and wait for your salvation, It’s not for me, I live right now and here.

When I was fifteen I was just an average kid. Without friends but with fire in my heart. I spent hours in my room only me and my guitar. Listening to punk rock was the only way out. I was trying to socialize but that mission soon failed. I was longing to become one of those who prevailed. I was strong enough to say what I feel, I was dumb enough to think they would kneel, I was cheeky enough to ask for a change, And blinded to see that I was in a cage. When I was seventeen my life had just begun. With a lot of friends I felt lost so many times. I knew there was a tiny place built for me. But filling it with people crushed my intimacy. I was trying to fit my shoes but the pain remained the same. I was searching for a guiding voice but the sound never came. All this history composed the person I am. All this misery carved the grown-up man. All those experiences built this tower of words. With a faded picture of my face on its top.
